Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory’s history of serving the families of our community began in 1848, and we are proud to be Bedford’s oldest continuously operated business!  Glenn Tharp entered funeral service in Bedford in 1933, and rose from funeral director to owner of the firm. Glenn served families here until his retirement in the early 1990’s and he passed his tradition of excellence on to his son, Willard D. “Skip” Tharp, and to his grandson, Chris Tharp. Chris, along with location manager, Jared Tucker, now operate the Bedford location.
