Tom Lloyd was born in Chattanooga, but his family moved to Lynchburg at an early age. Tom graduated from Brookville High School in 2009 and from there he pursued an education in Architecture at Virginia Tech where he was a member of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Regimental Band. After some schooling, Tom lived in Arkansas and worked as a consultant in 2012. From there he left to serve as a missionary in Las Vegas for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 2012 to 2014. While he was in Las Vegas he learned Spanish fluently. During his service as a missionary, Tom decided to change his career path to become a funeral director and upon his return to Virginia joined the Tharp Funeral Home family in August of 2014. Tom was married to his wife, Alison, in Salt Lake City in February of 2017.
Tom loves spending quality time with his nieces and nephews, friends, and family. His hobbies include playing guitar and bass; many athletics such as soccer, volleyball, football, and hiking; and other outdoor high adventure activities.
