Steve was a true "Southern Gentleman". I enjoyed working with him at Kroger Boonsboro. My sympathy to his family.

My Mother worked for Steve at Rivermont Pharmacy for many years. She always held him in the highest esteem and enjoyed her time working for him. He was an early mentor of mine and someone whom I looked up to and he was always a voice of optimism and encouragement. He truly lived a life of distinction and made a difference in so many peoples lives. I know he has a special place in heaven and left the world in a richer place because of his presence. I wish God's peace for his family and offer up my deepest sympathies. Don Hunt

I first knew Steve Perrow in the early 1960s when he ran Rivermont Pharmacy and employed my good friend Jerry (Bugs) Dodgion as a delivery man. I later knew Steve at Pearson's Drug Store in Boonsboro, where he worked with my late mother. They were a great team -- Steve with his trademark efficiency and notable memory, and mother with her incomparable courteous service to all!! Steve would often say "Nancy, who was that last customer you rang-up; he/she looked familiar." Mother would usually know, and Steve would add that information into his memory bank. Between the two of them, no customer would go unknown or unnoticed!! Steve later served me and my family as pharmacist at Kroger in Boonsboro. His expertise, professionalism, and personal attention were unmatched. He could answer any Rx drug question in timely, accurate fashion. It comes as no surprise to read the list of academic and other accomplishments he achieved as cum laude graduate of UNC. The list is amazing, culminating in the 1953 Student Body Award -- which included "everything"! The "Steve Perrow was Born to Serve" description seems like an understatement! Steve's dedication to church and family was his ultimate gift. To that family -- wife Betsy, children, grandchildren and others -- we send our sincere condolences on the loss of this fine man. Steve is at rest now. May God Bless him! Bill and Nancy Blackwell Midlothian, VA
