Wallace William Hanson, 84 of Monroe, Virginia died on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. He was the husband of the late Catherine Brinkley Hanson.

Born Tuesday, September 18, 1934 in Warren, MN, Wally was a son of the late Harold and Clara Hanson.

Wally is survived by his children, Kenny Hanson, Terry Hanson, and Tammy H. Elliott eight grandchildren, Ginger, Joshua, Mandy, Remmy, Steel, Rocky, Ashely, and Andrew, and last but not least, his dog, Myndi.

Wally retired from Meredith-Burda after not missing a day from work in 23 years. He served our county as a member of the U.S. Airforce.  He was active the Lynchburg Ham Radio Club, and Habitat for Humanity and attended Fort Avenue Church of Christ.
