Tamara (Tammy) Brown Abel, 62,passed away peacefully at her home on May 22nd 2021, after a very courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving children Amy and Steve, and forever friend Wanda. She will be terribly missed by her two children, Amy Clatterbaugh and Steven Pollock; four grandchildren, Lily, Anna, Mathew and Jacob; her sister and brother in law, Johnna and Mal; brother and sister in law Butch and Marilyn, as well as countless other friends and family.

She was born and raised in Miami, Florida to George Rowland Brown, III and Ann Katherine Anthony. She moved to Virginia as a young woman in pursuit of the country life. Tammy was an avid animal lover. Her farm in Huddleston is full of animals that she has rescued over the years. Throughout her battle with cancer she continued to care for and rescue her four legged friends.

Tammy’s strength as a woman surpassed her in size. Her family and animals always came first. She was brilliant and spent years of her life studying and practicing natural medicine. Tammy always had a cure for everything. She was blessed with beauty, brains and a heart full of love. To know Tammy was a true blessing. She touched everyone she met with her positivity, love and humor. Tammy will be missed and forever loved.
