I first meet Rodger when he played on my father's Babe Ruth baseball team. He always was a great guy, kind and helpful. I was happy to call him a friend while he was in Geneseo. My heart is with all of you.

Rodger was a classmate, the cutest boy in fifth grade which was held in the Methodist church because there were too many kids for North School. He indeed was as others have said, a genuinely nice guy. You have my sympathy, Linda!

Rodge and I grew up together in Geneseo, IL. We played Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball together, but on different teams. We roomed together with John Shoemaker when we went to Moline Community College. We even had our own private joke about Buck the Hunting Dog. He was fun to be around, and we conversed from time to time, especially when he came to Geneseo. I consider it a privilege to have known him, and I know he will be missed by his family. Our deepest sympathy for Linda and family.

This is so sad, cancer destroys people and families before their time. I am so sorry Linda and family. As you know Rodger and I were classmates. I always said he was the most handsome man in our class. He was a wonderful guy and I know you all will miss him very much.

We know this lovely man is with Jesus today, suffering no pain and watching over his beloved Linda, his beautiful daughters, his best friend son and his adored grandchildren. He leaves this earth with a legacy of kindness and humor. Roger, you will be missed, but not forgotten. Blessings to your family.
