Richard was a man who loved God. Richard earned his academic degree from Baptist Bible Seminary and served with his wife as a missionary with Association of Baptists for World Evangelism for four years and as the senior pastor of two churches, First Baptist Church of Marathon, New York (1972-1984) and the First Baptist Church of Hobart, Indiana (1984-2016). Dick lettered in track and cross-country while in high school in Binghamton, New York. He was known as full of life, always filling the room with laughter and making everyone feel welcome and loved. His children and grandchildren were the joy of his life. His hobbies included following professional sports, NASCAR and golf. He loved to serve others, share the Word of God and seek to please Jesus Christ in all he said and did. Richard was a faithful servant of God who has now gone home to be with his family and Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
