Sandy & family, On behalf of the HHS Classes of 1959 & 1961 we wish to offer this poem. Author: ~ Unknown ~ God's Garden: God looked around his garden, And He found an empty place. And then He looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired face. He put His arms around you, And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well upon this earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose you. But you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you, The day God called you home. Be strong! We are here for you... Ed & Barbara Page Hamilton, NY

SANDY, CAROLYN SENT A NOTE ABOUT RAY'S PASSING. WE ARE VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS AFTER 40+ YEARS. YOU KNOW WERE IS, SO YOUR COMFORT CAN BE THAT YOU WILL SEE HIM AGAIN IN HEAVEN. HIS OBIT BROUGHT BACK MANY MEMORIES WHEN I SAW "LAFOE". ALL WERE IN HARTFORD WHEN WE WERE YOUNG KIDS TRYING TO FIND OUR WAY. OUR PATHS CROSSED ONCE IN ALL THOSE PAST YEARS. I WILL ALWAYS HAVE THOSE PICTURES IN MY MIND ABOUT HARTFORD AND OUR FAMILY OF FRIENDS. BE STRONG, GRIEVE FOR RAY, BUT REMEMBER ALL THOSE WONDERFUL TIMES WITH HIM, KEEP THEM IN YOUR MEMORY, AND KNOW HE IS NOW IN PEACE WITH JESUS, OUR SAVIOR. GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL YOUR FAMILY, AND DON'T BE AFRAID TO CRY. WE ALL DO! GENE & BETTY PIEPLOW
