Ms Slack was born at Glade Spring, Virginia on, June 5, 1939, daughter to the late Thomas Jennings Warren and Martha Lorainne McNew Warren Elbert. She married David Andrew Slack August 8, 1964.
She was a retired school teacher. She taught school in Virginia and North Carolina. She is survived by husband David Slack, son David Warren Slack (Amy) and Andrew Stuart McCloud Slack (Laura), Grandson David Parker Slack and Granddaughter Mary Stuart Finnuala Slack. She is also survived by a sister Cynthia Alice Warren and niece Aleia Warren and Sister in law Gloria Warren and niece Michelle Grisham of Utah.
She is predeceased by her parents, brother (Edward), nephew Eric.
The Family thanks all of the staff of the 5th floor of the Drinkard Healthcare Center at Westminster Canterbury Lynchburg for the care they have given Peggy.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation be made to Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, or the charity of your choice.
Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
