Michel “Mike” Alcibe Becnel, Jr., age 92, of Hardy, Va., went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 27, 2018. He was the loving husband of Pearl Gloria Becnel.
In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by one daughter, Leslie Anne Santapaul; one brother, Edwin G. Becnel; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mike proudly served his country from 1944 to 1946 with the U.S. Navy. He later had a lasting career at AT&T as the director of communication and as an engineer. Mike enjoyed playing golf, reading, watching TV, and spending time with his church family at Trinity Ecumenical Parish.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Trinity Ecumenical Parish with Rev. Philip A. Bouknight officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Trinity Ecumenical Parish.
