Melissa Ann Monteith Pierce, 52, of Lynchburg, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021. She was born on January 22, 1969 in Mocksville, NC. A daughter of Robert Darrell Monteith, Sr. and Frances Juanita Shafer Monteith.
Melissa was a graduate of Liberty High School. She loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandkids. They were the light of her life. She also enjoyed cooking, fishing in previous years and watching lifetime movies. She was loved by so many and will be missed greatly.
In addition to her parents Melissa was survived by her two children, Timothy L. Pierce, Jr. and Brittany Pierce and her boyfriend, Dustin Castro; two granddaughters, Savannah Leigh Pierce, and Alyie Kaleialoha Castro; one brother, Robert Darrell Monteith, Jr and his wife, Wendy K. Monteith; special friend, Thomas Clark. Also surviving are numerous other family and friends.
A memorial service and celebration of Melissa’s life will be conducted at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Tharp Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friend two hours prior to the service also in Tharp Funeral Chapel Bedford. To send condolences online please
