The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service on Friday, July 2, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Tharp Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Dr. Nancy Dawson with interment in the Cumbie Memorial Cemetery in Rustburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church.

I am so saddened to learn of Peggy's passing. She and I were in the Master Gardener group in Bedford together. The last time she visited our home, she brought us a Chestnut Rose from Poplar Forest. Every time our eyes rest on it, we think of Peggy. She was a special person. Her beautiful smile and graciousness will be greatly missed. I am so very blessed to have known Peggy and will miss her greatly.

Peggy will be greatly missed by so many she was a bright light and a dear friend my prayers go out to all the family members the last few years have been tough for all of them I will cherish all my memories we made together and feel blessed she and her family chose me as a extra member of their family God bless her she will be greatly missed love to all
