Lucy Anne Powell, 89, of Lynchburg passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Lucy was born in Richmond, Virginia to Thomas Linwood Park and Hazel Mays Park on July 9, 1932. She was the widow of Meredith Merrill Powell. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Betty Jennings and Timothy Jennings, her sister, Patsy Kahl and her mother, Tommy Park.
Lucy is survived by her daughters, Deborah L. Powell, Carria P. Wojdyla (Mark), and Laura P. White (Kinny) all of Lynchburg, Virginia; five grandsons, David Matthew Wojdyla (Brittany), Michael Powell Wojdyla (Becky), Stephen Louis Wojdyla, William McKinley White, III and Henry Thomas White. She is survived by four great-grandchildren, Ava, Lucy, Colton and Kinsley. She is also survived by a sister, Carole Nunnally, and a sister-in-law, Linda Park.
The family will have a private memorial service.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
