Lon Clayton Warner II, 79, of Spout Spring, VA died Saturday, April 2, 2022. He was the loving husband of Jean Smith Warner for 58 years.
Lon was born December 6, 1942, in Manassas, VA, a son of the late Lon Clayton Warner and the late Virginia Dale Mays. He was a member of Living Word Baptist Church and had retired from the U.S. government after 32 years of service.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Lon Clayton Warner III (Liz) of Culpeper, VA, Raleigh Dale Warner (Amber) of Haymarket, VA, and Shelli Gheen Beeler (Marshall) of Spout Spring, VA; eight grandchildren, Jessika, Jessica, Stephanie (PJ), Alyssa, Clay, Kelley, Ryan, and Penny; two great-grandchildren, Katterina and Aria; brother, Jeff Warner (Kathy) and his sisters, Debbie Oberklaus (Brad) and Connie Harriman (Joe).
Lon was also preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly Mayhugh and Mary Ellen Gibson.
A celebration of Lon’s life will be conducted on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Living Word Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Yates officiating.
