Joyce Ann (Miles) Moore, 91, of Lynchburg, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Joseph H. Moore, Jr. (MGySGT, retired USMC).
As a military wife she was the bond that held the family together as they traveled the country during the 27 years of her husband’s Marine Corp. career. Upon his retirement the family resettled in Lynchburg where she eventually retired from B&W.
She is survived by her four children, Pam Miller, Rick Moore, Carol Riggins (Morris) and Susan Ford; two grandchildren, Miles Miller and Kelly Miller (Carter Ward); and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Centra Hospice, especially Dr. Patricia Pletke, Kathy, Jodi, and Tina. They are especially grateful to family friend Trickie Wilson.
Services will be held privately.
