John Paul “Scruffy” Karl, III, 64, of Lynchburg died Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
John was born April 1, 1954 in Maryland, a son of the late John Paul Karl, Jr. and Dorothy Orr Karl. John honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his brother Douglas Earl Karl, Sr. and his wife Linda of Lynchburg,
a nephew Douglas Karl, Jr., niece Jessica Dunn, both Lynchburg, great-nephew Titus, Jr. and two great-nieces Jaelynn and Destiny, and good friend, Richard Schmid.
A Memorial Service for John will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 7262 Stonewall Rd. Concord, Va. with Pastor Janet Burton officiating.
