Dr. McClellan was a wonderful physician and mentor. The good work he has done lives on through his patients and co-workers. It was a privilege to know and work with him.

Judy and Family, I was saddened to hear about your dad’s passing. He was such a fine man and physician. I would love to know how to get in touch with you if I visit my sister in Lynchburg. It’s been too long. I come to see my mom often in Newport News. She sends her condolences as well. Leslie

Jason was the Medical Director at Olde Towne Medical Center in Williamsburg. It is a primary care clinic for those with no health insurance. He was missed when he retired. He was a wonderful, caring physician.

My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to Dr. Jason’s friends and family in this trying time. I was honored to have been able to know him and give back to him in care as he had done for so many others. He shared with me plenty of valuable advice and wisdom that I will forever be grateful. God Bless Amanda Betterton CNA

Dr. McClellan was a wonderful educator, internist and mentor to many nurses in the Riverside School of Professional Nursing in the early 1960's. He always presented in a professional manor and gave outstanding care to his patients. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My heart goes out to celebrate the life of my Dr. Jason

Jason McClellan was my internist for over 40 years. He was remarkable and intuitive. I only saw him once a year in his office but he was so thorough. He always responded to telephone calls and trusted me so that he was able to get me the medicine I needed and could diagnose from what I described. Once I called to wish him and his family a Happy New Year after his retirement. He told me over the phone to go to my internist the next day and tell him that I have bronchial pneumonia. I did and the doctor said that I was not due for an appointment for months from then. I insisted and they checked me out and yes I did have bronchial pneumonia. He was thorough and cared about his patients and wanted to know what was going on with me at the end of every yearly visit. Jason McClellan was one of a kind and cannot be replaced today the way medicine is practiced from my perspective.

He was an excellent physician, the last of a generation of "TRUE CLINICANS'', who talked with and examined his patients!!!! God Speed! I suspect he is running a free clinic up there!!!!! john mattern
