Harriet Simrell Davis

October 29, 1941 - May 14, 2020

Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

Dear Mr. Davis and Callaway/Davis Family, Harriet was a blessing since the first day that I met her in 2003. A graceful and present prayer warrior. She invited me into ministry alongside her and the late Mr. Callaway 17 years ago. What a time we had! She was the most vibrant and diligent 62 year old I'de ever met! I had trouble keeping up with HER! Her impact of faith, ministry and love has continued to be an example to me through the years as she has served with you, Mr. Davis. She always spoke of her family, especially her children and grandchildren with joy and love. Her heart was always for your good and she praised God in her reports of how He had been working in and blessing ya'll. Her impact in my life has been profound. I thank Jesus always for her and her prayers. I will sorely miss her voice and our long distance phone calls. Thank you for sharing Harriet with me. My heart and prayers will be for you in the days ahead. Bless you all. -Angelina Gondek, Los Angeles California

Dear Sim, Over the years I have attended Generations Day and Soccer games at NCS. I have watched you and my Grandson, Tyler Dixon, grow into fine young men. I am sure your Grandmother was proud of you. I am sorry for your loss and am praying for you and your family as you celebrate her life. In Christian Love, Elaine Burton

Dear Dr. Bob and family, Lois and I are saddened to learn of Harriet's passing, but we rejoice that she is with the Lord. Dr. Bob, you have been an inspiration to us for thirty years and your impact on our lives cannot be overstated. May God bless you during this difficult time and know that you are in our prayers and hearts. In Christ, Greg and Lois Tyree

Although we did not get to know Harriet very long, immediately we felt the presence of the Lord when we were around her. Harriet submitted herself so completely to the Lord that all you saw and felt was Jesus. She was an example to all of us as “how to” live the Christian life. To those who knew her best, we can only imagine the depth of your pain and sorrow, but take heart that one day you will be reunited. When she entered those pearly gates, the angels cheered for her and our Lord said , “Well done my good and faithful servant.” You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Much love, Tom and Diane Denton

Harriet’s family., I’m sharing your sadness that Mrs Harriet has gone on to be in the heavenly kingdom and is no longer on the earth with us. I had the honor and pleasure of meeting her and her husband at Chad and Karis’s wedding. She was such a sweet Southern belle. It is very hard to let go of someone that we love so much. I take comfort in knowing that someday all of you will be celebrating and laughing once again with Mrs Harriet. May Jesus continue to hold and comfort each of you.
