On Monday, August 16, 2021, Gregory “Greg” Barbour grabbed the Lord’s hands and was guided to his eternal home.

Gregory was born on April 23, 1951 in Lynchburg, Va to the late Melvin D. Barbour Sr., Evelyn T. Barbour, Viola Jennings and Albert Jennings Sr.

Greg was preceded in death by his only brother Melvin “Blueky” Barbour, Jr .and Uncle Albert “Boo” Jennings Jr. (Debbie).

He leaves to cherish his memories daughter Aneeka Barbour (Timothy); Fiancé Danita Cabell; stepdaughters Kendra Cabell and Anitta Lacy (Lamont) and stepson Maurice Clark Jr. (Tawana); three grandchildren Kennedy, Kaleb and Kyleigh Cabell; three sisters Celeste Paige, Marva Martin and Viola Thomas; also the Barbour, Garland and Cabell families and a host of other loving nieces ,nephews; family and friends.

Greg was a true believer in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved his motorcycles, had a love for gardening and most importantly loved making sure his family was taken care of. He served in the United States Army and worked at R&R Donnelly for 24 years.

The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Lynchburg Police Department, Lynchburg Fire and Rescue, Lynchburg General Hospital Staff, Monelison Fire and Rescue and Tharp Funeral Home.

Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg is assisting the family.
