Gail. M. Griffith, 72, of Lynchburg died Sunday, February 28, 2021. She was the wife of John Carroll Griffith for 16 years.  Born Monday, January 24, 1949 in New York, NY, Gail was the daughter of the late William Corbett and Natalie Blados Corbett.

In addition to her husband, Gail is survived by her sister Margaret Rogers and her husband Scott and their children Amy and Kevin, and by her children, Kristina Love and her partner Andrew DeFord, Jennipher O’Neil and her partner Grady Scott, John O’Neil and his wife Amanda and daughter Alexis, Mary O’Neil, Michael O’Neil, Sarah O’Neil Erickson and her husband Karl and daughter Madelynn.

In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her brother William (Bill) Corbett.

It is not possible to reduce Gail’s life to words on a page.  She will always be a wonderful mother to her children and loving stepmother to John Joseph Griffith, Laura Griffith Miller, David Andrew Griffith and Brian Adam Griffith.  She will always be a wonderful grandmother to Alexis and Madelynn as well as a step grandmother to Bryce, Evelyn, Hazel, and Isadora Miller and Hadleigh DeFord.  Her heart had room for all.

Gail was a lover of peace, nature, children, music, gardening, laughter and knowledge. She was an educator with an endlessly inquisitive mind and a keen intelligence.  Gail had the most wonderful human spirit and joy of life.   She is the best companion, friend and wife who will never be far away and will always be in our hearts.
