The son of the late Eugene and Katie Kidd, he was preceded in death by his sisters Frances and Jean and his wife of 68 years, Alice B. Kidd of Lynchburg. He is survived by one son, Eugene Kidd and his wife, Mary, of Lynchburg; daughter, Irene Wenger of Norfolk; and daughter, Martha Sullivan of Alexandria. Also surviving him are six grandchildren: Andrea Kinnear and her husband, Adam, of Norfolk; Eleanor Jones and her husband, Colston, of Norfolk; Martha Kidd and her husband, Richard Barnes, of Arlington; Carolyn Duren and her husband, Chris, of Charlottesville; Thomas Sullivan of Alexandria; and Kathleen Sullivan of Arlington.
