Share your Memorial with Family & Friends
David and I had really started to get to know Dennis. David had been doen to get a filter for our mower and he told me about his conversation. I saw him several tiimes at Blue Ridge Cancer Center as I take Iron influsions there. He would come in and smack the bottom of mt shoe just grinning. We wished we could have gotten to know him better. He was a good man and I am sure he will be missed. If there is anything we can do please let us know. Teresa and David Turner

My family feels great sorrow over Dennis's passing. For 30 years Dennis, his wife Shelby, Dennis's parents Jimmy and Marie have taken tremendous care of my lawn equipment needs. My family hopes the many memories of good times, spent with Dennis, will help console family and friends during these healing times.

I am so very sorry for your loss, I know it's overwhelming. My husband, Bill, always trusted Dennis with any piece of equipment we own and enjoyed seeing his friendly face when we'd come in the shop. He will be missed by many. Prayer for healing and comfort.

We want to say that Dennis is with God, He has a New Spiritual Body and feels no pain . May The Holy Spirit Comfort the Family in this time. I am Steve and I have known Dennis for many Years, I even worked under Him for a few years. Such a Good Friend, Father, Grandfather and all around Good Man. He will be missed, but We will see Him again when we get to Heaven. Luke 23:43: And Jesus said unto him,Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Very sorry to hear of Dennis's passing. Early on I learned Dennis was Kind, hard working, and never complained. As so often happens, I lost touch with him after school and never got to see him again. I hope he knew how much I thought of his friendship and his caring for people he came in contact with. Thinking of you, his family at this difficult time and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. With kind Regards, I Am, Mark Hart

Shelby, Kelly and family. Dennis was a good friend to me and a great father-in-law to my son. Dennis was a guy you like to be around and if you were picking someone to be on your ball team you would want Dennis on your team! He was just all rounded great guy. Dennis was a person you not only loved but also liked. What a way to finish the race my brother, loving your family and loving your God. See you again soon. Pastor Allen

Dennis was much more than a customer to me. I am so proud to have called my friend. During all the years doing business he always made me feel welcome. Shelby, Jimmy and Marie, please know he is better off now than any of us and one day we will all see each other again. You are in my prayers.

Dennis and I have know one another since school. I’ve been a customer of his over the years and it was always good to see him in the back working on someones mower. Dennis you are finally in what we discussed just a couple years ago our forever home. Shelby prayers for you and all of the family during these difficult times.

The Jones Family extends its sincerest condolences to Shelby, their girls, his brother Danny, his parents Jimmy and Marie. He suffers no more! Ever since we were fellow Boy Scouts at Thaxton to his mower shop, I’ve always respected and trusted him. He was very much a solid part of our community and will certainly be missed. Please call on us, even after the storm. “Ashes to ashes and dust to dust. Lord, thank you for sharing him with us.”
