Bob Elliott, 67, passed in the evening of April 17th, 2019 at Lynchburg General Hospital after sudden health problems. He leaves his wife Jojo Elliott, daughter Becca, and sons Ian, Conner, and Patrick, and an incredibly loving community.
This being Bob’s third and final obituary (due to name confusion), we’d like to honor his memory.
Bob lived in the Lynchburg/Amherst area most of his life. Though a big personality, he liked the small town feel of the area. Many of you would know Bob as the one to start a conversation, and rarely the one to end it. He’d also be the first one to offer you a beer, whether it was 8pm or 8am.
As the owner of the Elliott’s Cleaners on Bedford Ave. in Madison Heights, he had the cleanest clothes, but the dirtiest mouth. He was a “people pleaser.”
Bob cast a huge net in this area. Many people knew Bob, and many people knew very different versions of Bob. He was able to be what you needed, when you needed.
There will be no funeral per his wishes. We are planning a gathering at some point to celebrate his life. If you knew Bob, if you celebrated with him in the time he had here, we’d love to hear from you. Memories, moments, and recollections are all accepted. In person deposits can be done at Elliott’s Cleaners (Bedford Ave.), or you can email your moments to [email protected].
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Madison Heights, is assisting the family.
