Benjamin Joaquin Stewart, July 8, 2018- July 12, 2018.

Just 38 hours after coming into the world, Benjamin Joaquin Stewart, passed away peacefully in his mother’s arms at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Born at 23 weeks gestation, Benjamin was small but mighty.

Benjamin is survived by his mother, Kimberlie Stewart, father, José Hernandez, brother Joseph Stewart-Branch, grandparents Rev. David and Diane Stewart, great-grandmothers, Marian Saunders of Lynchburg and Christine Stewart of Omaha, NE, aunts, Amy Snead (JD) and Simone Stewart of Lynchburg, uncle David Stewart, II of Nashville, Tenn., cousins Caleb and Landon Snead, five great aunts, one great uncle and many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2018  at Holcomb Rock Baptist Church, 5184 Boonsboro Road, Lynchburg.  Interment immediately following in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Benjamin to the March of Dimes.
