Barbara Wright Hall, 94, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late William B. Hall, Sr.
Barbara was born on April 10, 1924 in Lynchburg, Va. to the late Charles B. Wright and the late Edna Simpson Wright.
Barbara loved painting, reading, sewing, and was also a Master Gardener. She attended Lynchburg College and Phillips Business College. She was a secretary at N&W Industries before becoming a homemaker.
She is survived by her children Midge Harper of Monroe, Breck Hall (Shawn Dickerson) of Richmond, and Hannah Hall (Carl Wilson) of Greensboro, N.C.; her grandchildren Amy Waller (Barry), Sarah Harper (Ronnie Reynolds), and Ellah Wilson; her great-grandchildren Cayton Keller, Cameron Broughton, Taylor Broughton, and Maryn Reynolds; her great-great-grandchildren Liam Lantrip, Tatum Jenkins, and R’Jayna Broughton; a niece Linda Murphy (Chris); and a nephew Mack Callaham (Betsy).
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Betty Wright Winslow and Peggy Wright Callaham; and her son-in-law Win Harper.
A private memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the residence on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 3 p.m.
