Audrey Marie Middleton, 70, went to be with her beloved Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 17, 2022. Born in Clintwood, VA, she was one of 5 children to Patricia Taylor Gilbert Hinson and Everett Taylor. When Audrey was a child, she was blessed to begin calling Steve Gilbert father after her biological father went to be with the Lord. Those waiting to greet her in heaven when she arrived were her mother Patricia, father Everett, stepfather Steve, sister Yvonne and brother Lee. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter and best friend Stephanie whom she raised solely from the age of 4, sisters Brenda Huggins and Patricia Gilbert, grandchildren Justin and Morgan Lambert who she lovingly called Prince and Treasure respectively and a host of nieces and nephews that she cherished. Audrey was full of life and humor, lovingly threatening to “get some piggy meat” from little ones she adored. Audrey loved fiercely and was not ashamed to tell people how she loved them, ending every exchange with “Love You More.”  The world has lost some spark and spunk with her absence, and we look forward to being reunited with her in heaven.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg Chapel at 2p.m. with a visitation held one hour prior.
