Dear Donna, We are so sorry to hear of Ashby's passing. he was truly a lovely man and the epitome of a Southern Gentleman. We have fond memories of you as our neighbors, complete with summer ice cream and washing cars in the driveway. He was always so kind to everyone and so patient with the children's antics. We are thinking of you all and sending our condolences.

I am sorry that the world has lost Mr. May, but rejoice that he has passed from life into life. I will miss seeing him around town in his red Chevy pickup truck.

Ashby was the example of a true southern gentleman! I only knew him for a few short years, but in that time I cherished his friendship and more especially his guidance. There is a saying that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but Ashby certainly taught this old dog some with his understanding and love of people. R.I.P. dear friend and gentle soul!!
