Anne Mueller Nilles, 64, of Lynchburg, VA was called home to be with Christ, the Risen Lord, on Saturday, April 30, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Cherished wife of Michael Nilles, to whom she was married for 43 years.

Born in Aurora, Illinois, on November 12, 1957, Anne was the daughter of the late Eldred and Mildred Mueller.

She was a woman of faith, family and service to others.

Anne is survived by her husband, and their four loving children – Christine Anemaet (Nate), Matthew Nilles (Ester), Brian Nilles (Tiffany), Sarah Darmofal (TJ) as well as her parents-in-law Clarence Nilles (Donna), ten grandchildren, seven siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00 PM ET on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Lynchburg, VA.  The funeral mass will begin at 6:00 PM ET with a reception and meal immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, Anne had requested that donations be considered for the St. Thomas More Aid fund, a ministry that Anne led for over 15 years which focuses on providing food, diapers, clothing and other essential items to those most in need in the local community.

The family would like to thank all of those involved with her care during a short and intense battle with cancer, including many friends, UVA Colorectal Surgery Center, Lynchburg General 4 East Oncology Floor, Lynchburg Hematology & Oncology Center and Centra Hospice.
