It is with great sadness that I have learned of Sam\'s passing. My heartfelt condolences to her husband and family. It was close to 40 years ago that I met Sam, and over 35 years since I last saw her. She was a lovely person, and I fondly remember the times we spent together. Somewhere in Heaven there is a goumet cook creating wonderful meals for the angels. Rest in Peace Sam.

Mo, words cannot express the gratitude that I have for you and Sam during my years of SCCA flagging. From the two of you first taking me under your wing during a 2005 Grand-Am weekend at VIR and teaching me how to do proper flagging, communication and to properly take care of yourself during the racing action. That time helped me mature as a corner worker back then and now it has helped me take care of myself and pay attention to detail in the classroom and in the workplace today. My heartfelt condolences go out to you and Sam's family during this difficult time.

Mo, I worked with Sam for years at AREVA and enjoyed knowing her so much. She often sent me e-mails of cat antics and talked of the good times you both had at the race tracks. May your memories of her always shine brightly as mine will. My sympathy to you and yours.

I'm saddened to hear of Sam's passing. She took a chance on me over 12 years ago. She offered me a job (sight unseen) that brought me to Lynchburg, VA from Washington State. She welcomed me to her staff and her life. She took me under her wing, helped me to shape my new career path, and excitedly introduced me to her and Mo's hobby of race car flagging and the VIR racetrack. Wow. What a lady :-). Knowing Sam changed my life, and I will always think of her fondly. Rest in peace Sam. You will be missed. Mo, my deepest sympathy...
