Jeff Thaxton

Jeff Thaxton has been working in funeral service in Lynchburg for over 25 years. A Lynchburg native, Jeff was educated in Lynchburg City Public Schools, graduating from E.C. Glass High School in 1976. He received a Bachelors of Business Administration from the College of William & Mary in 1980, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1983, where he served as class president.

Jeff is a member of Court Street United Methodist Church, where he serves on numerous committees and is Chairman of the Administrative Board, the Blue Ridge Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, an enthusiastic golfer, an avid model railroader, and has enjoyed participating in construction projects with Habitat for Humanity. He has a daughter Katie who keeps him busy with her wide and varied interests.
